My husband and I stop here each and every year when we come to Myrtle Beach. The Margaritas were delicious. The food is outstanding. Good chef here and very pleasant waiter! Doesn't get much better than this!

This place is fantastic! We have visited Myrtle Beach many times and we always, ALWAYS be sure to eat here multiple times during our stay. We are a family of 4 and we have strong likes for mexican food. Back in 2007, when we visited Myrtle Beach for the first time, we found this place and fell in love. The combos are great, and you can order a la carte for very cheap. We always start our meal off with the cheese dip, which we love, but we decided to try the guacamole yesterday. It was also very delicious and we all decided that we would order it again. As for meals, I am loyal to the soft-shell shredded chicken tacos. I don't think I have ever visited without ordering one and they have always been delicious. The shredded chicken quesadilla is also a winner. The last time we visited (yesterday) the chicken, steak & chicken/steak fajitas were on special for $10, so 2 members of the party ordered those. They both seemed to enjoy and were highly satisfied. Another member of the party ordered a combo with a chicken quesadilla, beef burrito, and beef hard taco with rice on the side. This is his usual order, and as always it was wonderful and he cleaned the plate. As for me, I ordered soft-shell shredded chicken taco and a shredded chicken quesadilla. Both were delicious, and I wouldn't have expected anything different from this place. Overall, Fiesta Mexicana has always been delicious and I am 100% sure we will continue to eat here multiple times per vacation!

Really enjoyed this place. Salsa was great to start, but the food was as good as it gets. Had the Carnitas (#11) for lunch & was blown away by the flavor.

Not a gods place. Service was slow and the bathrooms were the worst ever! Makes you wonder how the kitchen is!

New location on 544 in Surfside has horrible horrible service. Worst around. Loc in MB doesn't have these issues. Food was overly salty, the sauce wasn't even the right one for that dish.

Chicken fajitas rocked..seafood ones were "Ehh"

Average food and mediocre service. Thank goodness I wasn't real hungry. Like I wouldn't go there again. I'd rather have burger king.

The fajitas are really tasty and come as a HUGE portion: says it serves 2, but really serves 4 easily. Queso is delicious also. Great service and good prices. Will definitely be going again to try other dishes.

The horchata here was good. The rest, not so much. We got a Mexican pizza slopped with cheese. The boyfriend and I shared a vegetarian combo that came with a disgusting, spinach-crammed burrito, a chalupa that looked and tasted like it had a store-bought shell and cheese from a bag, and a really unremarkable..enchilada I think it was? Overall it was just kinda sickening. Good horchata though

The food was cheap and portions were large, but pretty average tastewise. The chips were stale and tasted overcooked. My bf and i ordered a fired shrimp appetizer that was supposed to have jalepeno in it. It was soggy and did not have jalepeno :( Our entrees were just ok. The guacamole tasted old and like the avocados were too ripe or they let the guac sit out too long. I couldn't eat it (and i loooove guac). Our server only came around 1 time to refill our drinks and we had to wait a long time for that and to get our check. When it came time to pay, it took our waitress a half hour to come back so i could sign the slip. The restaurant wasn't busy, so I am not sure why it took so long. Anyway, I wasn't impressed and won't be returning. The onlything worth getting was the margarita.

Try the pina rellena (stuft pineapple). It was as delicious as it was original. The Jalisco (pork) burrito was good. Service was good. Much better overall than expected for Myrtle.

The best Mexican place in Myrtle Beach. Prices are very reasonable and food is very very good

  • Russ R.

The food was authentic, not Tex-Mex. The only real disappointment was the lack of heat in any of the dishes. The food tasted great, and seemed to be more traditional in nature. The service wasn't the best, but we were part of a big party, so i expect a bit of that. The prices are very reasonable, and you'll leave feeling like you got your moneys worth.

Went with the family on our last night at the beach and had a great experience. Service was fast and full of smiles. I made a special request for my daughter. Her shrimp taco came out perfect. Gone in less than 2 minutes. She is a picky eater but had no problems finishing off my fajitas. The chicken and steak came out real juicy and delicious. The thing that I appreciated the most was the level of service. It's good to see people who are happy to be at work with great attitudes.

  • Emily W.

The service was great! The fajitas my fiancé ordered were fantastic. My piña colada was fabulous. My chimichangas could have been better but I have definitely had worse. This isn't gourmet Mexican and I have much more authentic back home in Asheville but for a tourist town, this is pretty spot on. I wouldn't wait 2 hours to eat here but we will add it to a spot to go to when we're back in MB.

Came for lunch Today, wife wanted to order a drink and we found out they were "renewing" their liquor license and will not be serving alcohol today. My Pepsi came to me flat, like it was pored from a day old 2 litter bottle, ordered a sweet tea, much better. Ordered cheese dip for our chips with our drinks ( with the original flat Pepsi ) and it never came, our food came out and reminded the server, she told me she would get it but at this point, I don't want it, I wanted to eat the chips while I wait for my lunch and I just sat here.. The food was good, I ordered from the single item menu, cheaper and I got what I wanted ( great combinations for their lunchs, it's just I wanted a grilled quesadilla and a taco with some rice) my wife ordered just a chimichanga and had no complaints, the price was great expecting to pay more so that's why they get 3 out of 5, drinks and cheese ruined a good review because the decor was beautiful and I felt the server did an excellent job

Ceviche was really great. A nice portion and I would recommend it to anyone. I would recommend having ceviche on happy hour. It's cheap & a great happy hour from 4 to 7. The ceviche was only $4 and it's a great portion. The mango margarita was fabulous. Lots of other margarita options.

The service so far has been so on point, I had to yelp in the beginning of dinner. Love the vibes and true authenticity feel of this place! The $7 jumbo margarita is worth the dollars. It's delicious, I prefer mine blended with sugar Rim. Got a special to share with my partner. Perfect sizzle, temperature and taste! Coming back every year...

I recently ate here with my wife and kids while on vacation in Myrtle Beach. We were looking for nearby Mexican food. The food was very bland, not much flavor... The most laughable part of the meal was dessert. We decided to splurge and get the kids fried ice cream... It was ice cream, but it was not fried. They just sprinkle cereal on top. I asked the server if they had forgotten to fry it, and she said, no, we just put corn flakes on top to add some crunch. Really.

Happy with this. Food was good. Went on a Saturday night. They had a musician playing covers singing + guitar. It was mild enough that it wasn't annoying and he was actually playing decently. Dos XX on tap and other beers. Your standard mexican joint. Staff was very friendly.

It has definitely degraded since our last visit in 2014. Our lunches were small for the 9.00 prices we paid. My chimichanga was the size of a silver dollar pancake and my guest's taquito lunch was two small taquitos. Both came with rice and beans, but paltry portions. The thing that got me really upset was that the fried ice cream was NOT fried!!! It was basically just ice cream in a tortilla shell with corn flakes sprinkled on it! I have plenty of fried ice creams and this was the worst by far. That was 3.50 wasted!

Service was good and that's about all I can say. I had tacos and the meat was cold and left a filmy feeling in my mouth. The cheese on my tacos had a odd odor and texture. Taco Bell would have been better.

  • Shayly M.

I had the carnitas, and they were absolutely delicious. The meat was very juicy, flavorful, and the portion was larger than I expected. The sides I got with it (rice and beans) were better than average. My brother got the beef tacos and he said they were the best tacos he's ever had, and he is quite the picky eater. All if the food came out fast and piping hot. The chips came with a regular salsa and a spicy salsa. The regular salsa was not spicy at all, which was perfect for the 2 other diners in my group, bit I was hoping the spicy salsa would have been more spicy. We finished the meal with churros and opted for ice cream instead of the usual whipped cream they are served with. FANTASTIC desert to end the meal with, light and not overly filling. I had plenty of left overs. The bathrooms were well stocked and clean.

Great food! Ordered the fajitas texanas, chicken fajitas, quesadillas (for the kids), and the tacos de carne asada. Both fajitas had delicious sautéed veggies and the chicken, beef, and shrimp were all cooked well. They also came with a yummy fresh pico, guacamole, sour cream, lettuce, rice, tortillas, and refried beans that I personally found had a great taste. The tacos de carne asada were also a favorite and came as a HUGE portion. The kids said the quesadillas were also really good. The service was great. We are a family of five and were seated right away. They came out with warm chips and a spicy salsa (that's amazing) right away. Our drinks never ran dry and the waiter checked in on us often. Would definitely recommend and would come back. Not only was food and service good, but the price was great for all the food and drinks we ordered.

Holy Yelp madness - this joint was a mind blowing experience......My family and I have never had a bad Mexican meal to date, in fact even Taco Bell cannot screw up Mexican. Until tonight. This was beyond bad, bordering contempt. I find two things amazing --- 1. This place had decent reviews and 2. The parking lot was filled with cars, the joint was busy. Stopped here becasue it was close to a hotel we stayed in, and it seemed to get a few good internet reviews. Got a little skeptical when there were NO other diners - that's usually a bad sign.. HOWEVER, The Food was veryyy good. Got my good-ol chicken fajitas, for which the chicken was nicely flavored and plentiful. The salsa and chips in the beginning were excelente, the cheese dip was pretty good, a little different than what I expected, but for a dollar and some change (half-off appetizers), it was GOOD lol. BF got the steak and chicken fajitas, which he REALLY enjoyed (and he can be picky). Unfortunately, no drinking was done sicne it was easrly in the day, but they had an expansive drink list...flavors of margaritas and mojitos that I had never seen before. I would love to come back and try. The prices were great, for 2 people, our bill was less than $20 and we had leftovers. Our waitress was a gem, a lady from Bulgaria who was sweet as pie. A star was deducted because there were a few pesky gnats and flies that we fought for our food for most of the time. A waiter closed the blinds by us, which helped some but they were still there. Very annoying. Otherwise great mexican spot, we would most likely go again.

We checked into our hotel and the kids are starving ready to die if they don't eat soon kinda hungry. So as we adevnture out, 2 blocks away and right there a gem of a place, and all the kids crave mexican, want to know why we don't eat mexican everyday? Fun place, clean, awesme food. As the meal started rhe regular chips and salse, we ordered hot salsa, kinda roasted red pepperish, mixed it with the mild about 70/30, very good, but we asked for a cheese dip and and it came out too witht the salsa. Well worth the 3.75. Mix it with the salsa, too. One kid finished it off so the kids in Africia couldn't get sick from sending cheese dip all that way. Obviously we say thet thing about starving kids in Africia. One gets fajitas, 2 get chicken Chimichangas, one a monster nachos, and I the adventurous one ordered the Pina Rellena Arina. Wasa. Little scared to spend the 17.00, but man 'o man was it worth every cent. I thought it was a choice of chicken, strak or shrimp, well nope, it wasa ll of it. Presented on an openfaced grilled pinapple, with a small fiesta salad and beans and rice. Super awesome. Atmosphere was good, had a few tv's playing soccer, we really enjoyed, even thought we are vacationing, they presented us with a value card and 5 meal punches free one at 7. We will definately eat there again before we head home. Thank you Fiesta Mexicana, we are one happy famlily! Todd Michael

Ok Mexican food. Great jumbo margaritas. The salsa could use more cilantro. Chips were warm and fresh. My chicken chimichanga was bland. Our waiter Victor was fantastic and made the experience enjoyable.

The food was not bad. Ambiance could have been better. The place was a bit dark to see the food.

    (3)
  • Kevin R.

Lets start with the bad- The inside of this place smelled funky and it has the worst decoration i've ever seen in a restaurant. On top of that, every couple of minutes some white pieces of dust from the ceiling tiles fell onto our table. The cheese dip tastes weird but its ok. I ordered a $9 quesadilla platter thinking I would get several small quesadillas or have some guacamole, sour cream - Something! But no, I got a single quesadilla the size of a small taco with cheese that tasted like the one you buy at the discount aisle in a cheap supermarket. The only thing I like from here was the drink I ordered. If you somehow accidentally end up eating here, order it. It's called an Horchata ( Or-Cha-Tah) It has no alcohol, so kid friendly.

Eat there 7/22/2014. Quickly seated. Quick order. Quickly prepared and brought to table. Waitress spoke very good english bit maybe the only who did. Food was good not great but authentic. Bus boys were working so fast it was unproductive and funny. Must be new to the USA.

We arrived in Myrtle Beach and we ate at this restaurant while waiting for our condo to be ready. There isn't anything positive for me to say about the food. The salsa, chips, guacamole didn't taste very good at all. The chile relleno was sitting in a pool of grease on my plate. My husband is very easy to please and didn't like his dinner at all. The service, grounds, those deserve 5 stars. I wouldn't recommend this for Mexican food.

We trusted Yelp to find us a good Mexican Restaurant in Myrtle Beach and this one was AWESOME. The chips and salsa were as good as any. The chorizo dip is one of the best we had. The happy hour prices on food and drinks was phenominal. I would highly recommend this place to anyone!

I am a bit late writing this but this is more of a two thumbs up compliment than a review. We live in Myrtle Beach and eat at Fiesta quite a bit. Last week while my wife was away on business my daughter wanted Mexican for dinner but only wanted take out. we have done take out from here before and it has always been good so we ordered. They told us 20 minutes. 25 minutes later we showed up to get the food. The girl at the register who we see all the time welcomed us and said just a few minutes. The food came out about 2 minutes later bagged up in its usual style and when I looked in the bag she repeated the order to me and I counted the boxes. I didn't open them just counted them and everything matched. While I was paying I double checked to make sure my daughters taco was just meat and cheese only as she is 6 and any deviation from just meat and cheese could spell disaster. It was confirmed by the hostess that yes it is only meat and cheese, I signed my slip and left. When I got home I opened the bags and out came the chips salsa and guac. Next my ceviche dinner and when I reached into to open the last container what I assumed was the taco, it was the tostadas that went with my ceviche. UH OH!!! No Taco, hungry 6 year old, and were home 10 minutes away. I took a deep breath because as I said, we frequent Fiesta quite often so I didn't want to call them back, blow up, and then never be able to eat there again so I tried to calm down and I dialed the restaurant. The girl who answered the phone was the same girl I dealt with. My mind is racing at this point as I was trying to tell myself be calm be calm and when I gave her my name, she cut me off and said I am so sorry, I cannot believe I forgot her taco, I am so so sorry, but if you tell me where you live I will drive it to you myself. I was blown away.. We live about 10 minutes from the restaurant and I was utterly amazed that someone was going to leave a busy restaurant in August, fight the tourist traffic and come to my house for a taco. I don't know what I expected or how we were gonna resolve this mishap, but it sure as heck wasn't that. Sure enough not 8 minutes later did my doorbell ring and there she was with not one taco, but 3 with more chips and guac to go with our dinner. I could not believe it. I was amazed and happy as could be. The situation that was avoided was immense. It was getting late, my daughter had not eaten, I really did not want to drive back up there and starting from scratch with her as to what she would eat would have been another 30 minutes. To the staff and management at Fiesta I say THANK YOU. I also say, for this one 20 minute act of pure unadulterated customer service that is unheard of these days, you have my business forever and I will not hesitate to let everyone that I know about this story followed up by "you need to go check them out".. I am also posting this on Facebook for you. Your food has always been great with us, but this is something you just don't see anymore. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU and we cant wait to eat there again soon.

Food 3.5 - Good Mexican fare at very affordable prices and satisfying portions. Nice vegetarian section and al a carte menu. Cleanliness (including bathroom) 4 - No dust bunnies or sticky surfaces, plates and flatware were clean. Service 3 - Friendly and efficient. Overall a great place to grab a bite especially if your sick of burgers and seafood buffets!

This was a huge disappointment for dinner. They were out of avacados, so no quacamole ... and the food was mediocre at best. We'll drive by next time!

New location on 544 in Surfside has horrible horrible service. Worst around. Loc in MB doesn't have these issues. Food was overly salty, the sauce wasn't even the right one for that dish.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
